My first few experiences with resin were a doozy. The resin was messy and sticky. One project burst into flames. Another had a mosquito and dust mites incapsulated. I was almost convinced that I absolutely loathed everything about resin. Then one day, I finally reached perfection and I’ve been enamored ever since. This collection came about after my local florists refrigerator broke and they gifted me all the flowers that were salvageable. Remembering that I had tons of bullet casings was the perfect idea to convey the message I searched for. A play on words, if you will. “GUNS & ROSES.” “Beauty & pain.” My hopes for this collection is to touch all the heart strings and bring to life the beauty in the chaos within us, regardless of what is happening on the inside.
